Senior Software Engineer at Canva

Personal

I just love to build cool shit.

I am a big believer in the web and in the openness and inclusiveness it represents. I love to learn about cutting edge technology and programming paradigms. I take a lot of pride in the work that I do. Including the quality of code as well as crafting usable and frictionless UI/UX. I love tinkering and experimenting on side projects, which can either be sparked from curiosity for a new technology/framework or a personal interest in the product.

I helped deliver various projects, while also moving some key migrations along. Coming from a pure Ruby on Rails, the team had started migrating to an SPA, but still had a lot of routes rendered by ruby. I helped push older routes from ruby to SPA and lay the groundwork for separating the frontend from the backend.

    April 2016 - July 2018
    |

Hubrick was a truly special place to work. I learnt a tremendous amount in a very short period of time.

  6. Frontend Software Engineer at Foodora

  9. Intern Webdeveloper at Scholz & Volkmer
    May 2012 - September 2012

The first real project I got to work on was the redesign of a big watchmaker's website. The agency was pitching the design, and they tasked me with building a working prototype.
