Personal
I just love to build cool shit.
I am a big believer in the web and in the openness and inclusiveness it represents. I love to learn about cutting edge technology and programming paradigms. I take a lot of pride in the work that I do. Including the quality of code as well as crafting usable and frictionless UI/UX. I love tinkering and experimenting on side projects, which can either be sparked from curiosity for a new technology/framework or a personal interest in the product.

Resume
- Senior Software Engineer at UsabilityHubMay 2022 - March 2023|Melbourne, Australia (Remote)
I helped deliver various projects, while also moving some key migrations along. Coming from a pure Ruby on Rails, the team had started migrating to an SPA, but still had a lot of routes rendered by ruby. I helped push older routes from ruby to SPA and lay the groundwork for separating the frontend from the backend.
- Senior Frontend Developer at RexlabsJune 2020 - May 2022|Brisbane, Australia
I helped develop the frontend application for a new property management platform. My main tasks were implementing features and looking after the code.
I later joined the core frontend team, which looked after core packages for our frontend applications, such as design system components and tooling.
- Senior Frontend Developer at SatoshiPayOctober 2018 - February 2020|Berlin, Germany
While at SatoshiPay, I worked on a couple of prototypes, one of them being the browser wallet which enables a fast and instant payment mechanism using blockchain technologies.
The other prototype allows businesses to send and receive instant cross border payments, also using the Stellar Blockchain.
- Frontend Developer at HubrickApril 2016 - July 2018|Berlin, Germany
Hubrick was a truly special place to work. I learnt a tremendous amount in a very short period of time.
The project itself consisted of a lot of microservices on the backend and a single page React application on the frontend.
- Frontend Software Engineer at FoodoraOctober 2015 - March 2016|Berlin, Germany
At Foodora, I worked on their food delivery platform. The application was a very classic PHP stack. It was a huge, monolithic application built on the Symfony framework. On the client side, it used Backbone.js for interactive components.
- Junior Web Developer at REBORNFebruary 2014 - June 2014|Sydney, Australia
Right at the beginning, I took over a big WordPress project and helped it get across the finish line. Later, I was able to work on some fun web application prototypes to support sales pitches on the iPad. They included some fancy SVG animations.
- Student Employee at 1&1July 2013 - January 2014|Berlin, Germany
I was part of the "DIY App Development" Team. 1&1 had a website builder and our team was working on apps to add to the website. It was using the big 'ol Zend Framework, which was hard to wrap my head around.
- Intern Webdeveloper at Scholz & VolkmerMay 2012 - September 2012|Berlin, Germany
The first real project I got to work on was the redesign of a big watchmaker's website. The agency was pitching the design, and they tasked me with building a working prototype.
- Intern at Scholz & VolkmerJune 2011 - July 2011|Berlin, Germany
I got to work on a couple of advertising banners using flash. While gaining some experience on how to program using Action Script 3, I got to work on a little fun side project.
